Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation Approves Largest Community Pride Grant Cycle in Program History

$10,000 in Microgrants Distributed to Support Pride Festivals Across Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN — The Tennessee Pride Chamber of Commerce proudly announces that the Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation has approved and distributed the largest grant cycle in the history of its Tennessee Community Pride Grant Program, awarding a historic $10,000 in funding to support Pride festivals across the state.

Established to provide critical microgrants to community and rural Pride organizations, the Tennessee Community Pride Grant Program exists to help offset revenue shortfalls and unexpected expenses—ensuring that every Tennessee community has access to safe, inclusive, and celebratory Pride events. In 2026, the demand for these grants reached an all-time high, with more Pride festivals applying for support than ever before.

This increased need comes at a pivotal moment. A continued decline in corporate sponsorship—driven in part by companies scaling back public support of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and Pride celebrations—has created new financial challenges for local organizers. In response, the Tennessee Pride Chamber and its Foundation have stepped forward to meet the moment with expanded support.

“Pride celebrations are more than just events—they are economic drivers, community builders, and affirming spaces that ensure LGBTQ+ Tennesseans feel seen, supported, and safe in their own hometowns,” said Keillian Carpenter, Executive Director of the Tennessee Pride Chamber. “At a time when many festivals are facing funding gaps, it is more important than ever that we show up as a community to ensure these celebrations continue. We are incredibly proud to expand this program and invest directly into the success and sustainability of Pride across Tennessee.”

Carpenter also emphasized that the Foundation’s ability to meet this growing need is made possible through the support of donors, sponsors, and community-driven fundraising efforts—most notably the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, the Tennessee Pride in Business Awards, taking place on May 28, 2026.

“The generosity of our supporters fuels this work,” Carpenter added. “Events like the Tennessee Pride in Business Awards directly power programs like the Community Pride Grants, allowing us to reinvest in communities across the state.”

The Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation Treasurer, Caitlyn Lovell, echoed this sentiment and highlighted the importance of continued financial support.

“We are deeply grateful to the individuals, businesses, and partners who believe in this mission and invest in our work,” said Lovell. “Their support makes it possible for us to respond to the growing needs of Pride organizers across Tennessee and provide funding at this historic level. This is a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes together with purpose.”

The Tennessee Pride Chamber Foundation remains committed to expanding access to Pride celebrations in every corner of the state, ensuring that all LGBTQ+ Tennesseans—and their allies—have the opportunity to gather, celebrate, and thrive.

Community Pride Grant Recipients include: Franklin Pride, Sweetwater Pride, Upper Cumberland Pride, RuCo Pride, SnKno Pride, West Knoxville Pride, The Rainbow Festival, Nashville Black Pride, TriPride, and Dickson Pride.
